March 18, 2016
Cannons Training Camp To Be Held in Schenectady, NY This Weekend
Second Weekend of Training Camp Highlighted by Saturday Night Scrimmage vs. Rochester

BOSTON, MA – (April 7, 2014) – The Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league, will host their second weekend of training camp this Saturday and Sunday, April 12-13 in Schenectady, NY. The training camp will be highlighted by a scrimmage against the Rochester Rattlers of MLL at 8:00pm on Saturday night at Union College.

The scrimmage Saturday night is free and open to the public.  The Cannons will have discounted merchandise available as well as discounted tickets for the July 19th and August 2nd games in Boston.  The Cannons will have two practice sessions over the weekend, Saturday afternoon at Schenectady High School and a Sunday morning practice at Union College.

“Each year we do a getaway weekend of training camp,” said Cannons General Manager Kevin Barney. “We have a growing fan base in the Albany/Schenectady area so it is also our way of giving back to those fans by coming to them.  The scrimmage Saturday night should be extremely competitive as players on both sides are competing for roster spots.”

The Cannons began Training Camp last weekend at Harvard Stadium, and will finish out camp next weekend, April 19thin Boston as well. At the conclusion of the three weekends, the Cannons will cut the roster from 40 players to 25 active and six practice squad players.
