When the New England Patriots take the field on Sunday, they will look to continue Boston’s trend of success this year. The Bruins won the Stanley Cup and the Cannons won the Steinfeld Cup – will the Patriots bring home the Lombardi Trophy?
The red-hot New York Giants carry a five-game winning streak into Indianapolis. Both teams will look to air out the ball, as the Patriots and Giants finished 2nd and 5th, respectively, in passing offense. On paper, it looks like both teams could have success doing so, as they finished 31st and 29th, respectively, in passing defense.
Both teams are evenly matched on paper, but statistics do not usually determine the game. With Super Bowl XLVI approaching fast, we asked for predictions from a group of people who know what it takes to win a championship:

Most Cannons are confident in the home team, and all expect a relatively high-scoring game. Players also gave their “bold predictions.”
JJ Morrissey and Kevin Gould predict three touchdowns from tight ends Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez, respectively. Jordan Burke predicts two touchdowns for wide receiver Wes Welker. Paul Rabil, a huge Patriots’ fan, predicts that Super Bowl XXXVI and XXXVIII MVP Tom Brady will throw for 320 yards and three touchdowns (two of them to Gronkowski). Coach Steve Duffy expects Tom Brady to avenge his poor performance in the AFC Championship on the way to a Patriots’ victory.
