This Friday, June 1st, the Boston Cannons travel to New York to face the Rochester Rattlers at Sahlen’s Stadium. This is the teams’ second match up of the season, with the Cannons winning the April 28th game 15-3.
Following a 17-10 win against the Denver Outlaws, the Cannons enter the game as the only remaining undefeated team in the MLL. The game against Denver was lead by Bud Light Player of the Game Paul Rabil, who, with three goals and four assists, now leads the MLL with 24 total points. The Cannons head into the game against Rochester with a strong offense as eight different Cannons scored during the May 19th game, including hat tricks from Rabil, Mike Stone and Kevin Buchanan.
Ned Crotty and Matt Striebel (four-time MLL All-Star) lead the Rattlers' offense as they look to improve from their 2011 season in which the Cannons swept both games and the team ended in last place.
This is the first MLL to be broadcast as part of the new deal with CBS Sports Network, and the first 2012 Cannons game to broadcast nationally.
If you’re in Boston this weekend, be sure to join other Cannons fans, the Cannons Dance Team, and front office staff, for an away game viewing party at Miller’s Ale House in Watertown on Friday at 7pm. Support the team as they hope to continue their dominance as the only undefeated team!
