In the offseason, most of the Cannons players return to their every-day careers as teachers, lawyers, coaches, etc. A handful, however, continue to play lacrosse during the offseason in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). Each week throughout the NLL season, BOSTONCANNONS.COM will update fans on how their Cannons players are performing indoors, hopefully making the cold winter months of the offseason slightly easier to cope with.

Lastly, the new version of the old school Boston Blazers returned to the floor in their season-opening game against the New York Titans at the Prudential Center in New Jersey on Saturday night. The contest featured two Cannons attackmen, Matt Alrich and Sean Morris, competing against each other for a win and the bragging rights that go along with it. Alrich, a transition player for the Titans, picked up one assist, one shot and four loose balls as his team defeated the Blazers by a score of 19-14. Morris, a Blazers forward, netted his first goal of the season, while also collecting two assists, two shots and two loose balls.
