2014: Played in 13 games while collecting 62 ground balls, and recording 5 points (4 goals and 1 assist). During the summer, Merrill was named to the Canadian national team for the FIL World Lacrosse Championships in Denver, CO. Led team Canada to FIL Championship.

2005-2013: Was named the Warrior Defensive Player of the Year on 5/4/13 after collecting one assist and seven loose balls… In 2012, he was named to the All-MLL Team for the seventh consecutive year… Ranked third in the MLL with 96 ground balls in 13 games while contributing four goals, including a two-point marker, and six assists… A six-time selection as the Warrior Defensive Player of the Year, Merrill holds the MLL record with 620 career ground balls while scoring 39 goals, including three two-point markers, with 66 assists in 91 career games… In 2012, he set the team single-season ground ball record on 8/04… Recorded his 100th career point on 6/02… Passed Paul Cantabene (538), as the MLL’s all-time ground ball leader on 5/18/12… Named the Warrior Defensive Player of the Year six straight seasons (2006-11)… In 2011, he led the MLL with 77 ground balls, which marked the third time in his career he has accomplished that feat (2006, 2007)… Led all defensemen with 17 points (4+1+12)… Named the MLL Defensive Player of the Week on 7/30… Became only the second player in MLL history to record 500 ground balls (7/23)… Named to his seventh MLL All-Star Game… In 2010, he led the team with 55 ground balls and was fourth in the MLL… Led all defensemen with 12 points (3+9) in 10 games... College Career: Merrill attended Georgetown University, where he was a Tewaaraton Trophy finalist, a 2004 USILA First Team All-American, and selected to the First Team All-ECAC. He was voted team MVP in 2004. In his senior season, Merrill collected a career high of 104 ground balls.
Personal: Married, wife: Alexandra… Daughter, Sawyer… He runs the Brodie Merrill Defense Academy… He also works as a lacrosse instructor at The Hill Academy… Biggest Lacrosse Influences are his family, the Sanderson family, Dave Urick and Derek Keenan.
