Boston, MA (July 2, 2014) The Boston Cannons look to get back on track after a hard fought loss on the road to the Charlotte Hounds. The Cannons had a 9-6 lead heading into the 4th quarter before they gave up 6 of the next 7 goals to the Hounds to fall behind 14-10.

"I think it's more about what they did right, and less of what we did wrong," Cannons Assistant Coach Murphy stated.

The Cannons now head out to Denver for their second consecutive road game. The Cannons have struggled on the road this season winning only 1 of the 5 games away from Harvard Stadium. The Cannons look to return their win percentage to .500 on the season, while the Outlaws look to hold onto their first place standing. The Outlaws will be eager to get back on the field after their second loss of the season, especially after they did not lose a single game last season.

The Denver Outlaws have won 2 of their last 3 games and have already beaten the Cannons once this season. When the teams met at Harvard Stadium the teams battled back and forth before the Cannons fell in overtime.

The Cannons come off a disappointing loss to the Charlotte Hounds, a game that they lost in the final quarter. The Cannons had a 3 point lead going into the 4th quarter before the Hounds scored 6 of 9 goals. Against Charlotte the Cannons were lead by Will Manny who had 3 goals and 2 assists, Stephen Berger who had 2 goals and 3 assists, and Chris Eck who won 16-25 face-offs and scooped up 5 ground balls.

When the Cannons and Outlaws met earlier in the season the Outlaws win came from strong performances by Eric Law who tallied 4 points on 3 goals and 1 assist. In the loss the Cannons were led by Paul Rabil’s 4 assists and Kevin Buchanan’s 3 goals and 1 assist.

The Cannons will look to rebound in the exciting Fourth of July game in Denver and get back to their winning ways. "It's not about exploiting their mistakes; it's about playing out game," Coach Murphy said.
