Paul Rabil was the only Cannon selected to play in the NLL All Star game, but he represented his team well. Rabil’s two goals and three assists were not enough to help the West to victory as the East won 30-26. Rabil also had an amazing 18 loose balls in the contest and forced two turnovers. The star of the game was Rochester’s Shawn Evans who had four goals and eights assists and was named MVP.
Kyle Sweeney and Ryan Boyle were active for the Philadelphia Wings on Saturday in one of only two NLL games this weekend. Boyle had three assists and a loose ball but the Wings fell to the league leading Toronto Rock 16-13. Sweeney picked up five loose balls and forced a turnover in the loss. Philadelphia currently sits at 4-5 on the season and will look for revenge next weekend when they head to Toronto.
