BOSTON CANNONS ANNOUNCE 2013 SCHEDULE

BOSTON, MA - (January, 14, 2013) - The Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse (MLL), the premier outdoor professional lacrosse league, today announced their 14-game schedule, including seven Saturday home games at Harvard Stadium. Season tickets are on sale now starting at $98. Individual game tickets will go on sale March 1, with group packages becoming available in February.

 

After beginning the season on the road Sunday, April 28 at the rival New York Lizards, the Cannons play three straight games at home, beginning on Saturday, May 4 against the Hamilton Nationals at 7pm. The Cannons play the Denver Outlaws on May 11, then face the Chesapeake Bayhawks on Saturday, May 18 in a re-match of the 2012 semi-final in which the Cannons were eliminated, 16-10.

"After breaking our season attendance record last year with over 67,000 fans, we can't wait for the 2013 season so we can bring the best lacrosse in the world to even more fans at Harvard Stadium," said Cannons General Manager Kevin Barney. "As always, our games will include various events, special offers and community involvement, in addition to player autographs after every game."

 

A total of 26 live, nationally televised MLL games will be broadcast in 2013, to be announced at a later date. ESPN2 will air six live games, while CBS Sports Network will show 20 games, up from 14 last season, in addition to all 18 episodes of "Inside the MLL," the league's 30-minute magazine show.

The season will culminate with the 2013 MLL Championship Weekend taking place at PLL Park in Chester, PA, outside of Philadelphia, on August 24 & 25.
