A Closer Look at the Cannons All-Stars

Join the Boston Cannons this Saturday at the 2011 Major League Lacrosse Sports Authority All-Star Game! This year nine Cannons were selected to participate, with four Cannons playing in their first All-Star Game. Boston's head coach Bill Daye was also selected to serve as one of the head coaches.

Tonight the two selected fans will be choosing the All-Star teams for tomorrow’s game at Harvard Stadium. Where will our Cannons be placed? What side will you cheer for?

Let’s take a closer look at our Cannons 2011 All-Stars:

Bill Daye - Head Coach

  • This is coach Daye’s second time as an All-Star Game head coach, first was in 2008
  • Has also served as assistant coach for two other All-Star Games
Paul Rabil – Midfield

  • Fourth All-Star appearance
  • 2009 MLL Bud Light MVP
  • 2009 Warrior Offensive Player of the Year
  • 2010 Fastest Shot competition winner
  • Will participate in Freestyle competition this year
  • Currently leads the league with 33 points
  • Tied for first with 18 goals
  • Second for assists with 13
Matt Poskay – Midfield

  • Four time MLL All-Star
  • 2010 MLL Bud Light MVP
  • 2010 Warrior Offensive Player of the Year
  • Currently has 17 goals and 2 assists this season
Ryan Boyle – Attack

  • This year marks his 6th All-Star Game
  • Currently has 9 goals and 10 assists in 6 games this season
Chris Eck – FO/Midfield

  • Second consecutive All-Star Game appearance
  • Currently leads the league with 121 face off wins
  • Tied for fourth this season with 34 ground balls
Pat Heim – Midfield

  • Second All-Star Game appearance, first in 2007
  • Has 7 goals and 2 assists this season
Max Quinzani – Attack

  • Local player from Duxbury, MA
  • First time All-Star
  • Currently has 14 goals and 6 assists this season
Mitch Belisle – Defense

  • First time All-Star
  • Currently has 6 ground balls this season
Brad Ross – Midfield

  • First time All-Star
  • Will participate in Fastest Shot competition this year
  • Scored a career-high of 13 goals this season
  • Has scored three 2 point goals this season
P.T. Ricci – Defense
