Ohio scored less than a minute into the game on a man-up goal from Marcus Holman. Logan Schuss added another before Paul Rabil scored unassisted to get the Cannons on the board. Schuss scored his second before the end of the quarter to give Ohio a 3-1 lead after the opening frame.

The Cannons took control in the second quarter, burying four goals in a row from Will Manny, Kevin Buchanan and two from Flint. Steele Stanwick got the Machine on the board, but Flint completed his hat trick - all three goals unassisted - and the Cannons held a 6-5 edge going into the break.

2013 MLL All-Star selection Mike Stone took control coming out of the locker room, scoring three straight unassisted goals - the first coming just 32 seconds into the quarter and the second with a two-man advantage - and then dishing to Manny who notched his second of the night. Flint added his fourth before Schuss completed his hat trick to keep Ohio from being shut out in the third, but the Cannons took an 11-6 lead into the final 15 minutes of play.

The fourth quarter opened with a two-point goal from Ohio's Ray Megill, and Schuss eventually scored his fourth and fifth goals of the night. But Cannons veteran attackmen Matt Poskay and Ryan Boyle each scored and the Cannons held onto the lead to improve to 4-5 on the season.

Chris Eck won 15-25 face-offs and Jordan Burke made 11 saves in the win.

The Cannons return home to Harvard Stadium to face the Charlotte Hounds on Saturday, July 6 (8pm).
