Cannons in the NLL - Week 3

March 18, 2016
The third week of NLL action featured the first match-up of the season between Cannons teammates. The Philadelphia Wings and Pat Heim squared off against the Washington Stealth and Paul Rabil on Saturday night, as both teams looked to recover after Week 1 losses.

Philadelphia jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, as Kevin Crowley netted a hat trick in the first quarter alone. A power-play goal, assisted by Paul Rabil, gave Washington momentum in the second quarter. The teams played to a 3-3 tie at halftime and continued to trade scores throughout the second half. The contest was finally decided in overtime when Kevin Crowley buried the game-winning goal for Philly in a 10-9 thriller.

Pat Heim finished with 1 assist for the Wings who improved to 1-1 on the season. Paul Rabil tallied 1 goal, 1 assist and 6 loose balls for the Stealth, now 0-2.

The Buffalo Bandits continued their winning ways against Rochester in a 12-9 triumph. Kevin Buchanan recorded 2 assists and 7 loose balls in the victory. Kyle Sweeney also got in on the scoring with 1 assist.

The undefeated Bandits will host the Wings on Friday night at 7:30 pm, then travel to play Mitch Belisle and the Minnesota Swarm on Saturday night at 8:00 pm. Paul Rabil and the Stealth seek their first win of the season on Saturday night at 10:30 pm when the Edmonton Rush visit.
