Cannons face-off specialist John Ortolani was on the cover of the November issue of Lacrosse Magazine.  The 2 page spread showcased Ortolani's intense workout routines as he not only keeps in shape for lacrosse, but his other passion, MMA fighting.

A local High School Band is making headlines, and they also have a few connections to the Boston Cannons!  Andy Covino, pictured above and keys man for the band, is a Swampscott High Lax player and fan of the Boston Cannons.  The band even played at a Cannons game as part of a radio promotion!  Check out a recent article on the band's success and their competition in the SchoolJam USA teen battle of the bands.


The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) has announced that the Jessica Prouty Band of Marblehead High, Swampscott High and Wilmington High has advanced to the online Semi-Finals round of the 2010-2011 SchoolJam USA teen battle of the bands competition.

The band has been featured along with 47 other teen bands from across the United States at, where people from the general public are encouraged to vote for their favorite band.
