CANNONS JOIN IN RAISING OVER $2 MILLION FOR DANA FARBER
BOSTON, MA (March 3, 2014)– Front office members of the Boston Cannons joined majority owner
Rob Hale and Granite Telecommunications’ “Saving by Shaving” event today and ended up raising over $2 million thanks to the 500 plus participants!
Granite CEO Rob Hale and Judy Hale initially vowed to donate $3,000 to Dana Farber for each Granite and Boston Cannons employee who had their head shaved today. Ultimately, over 500 Granite and Cannons employees showed up, bringing the overall donation to Dana Farber over two million dollars.
Six members of the Cannons front office along with Cannons’ midfielder Martin Bowes were a part of this special event.
“We were happy to be part of this humbling experience,” said
Cannons General Manager Kevin Barney. “It was an amazing sight to see so many people come together to raise money for such an incredible charity.”
