Boston Lacrosse Cares' 2017 campaign will support Boston Children's Hospital Cancer and Blood Disorders Center.
The top-ranked children's hospital in the nation and #1 in cancer care, Boston Children's is the singular organization with the legacy and capacity to beat cancer in children fastest and on a global scale. For 150 years, Boston Children's Hospital has built its reputation as the world leader in pediatric research. This is why in 1929, Boston Children's Sidney Farber, Children's first full time pathologist, could achieve the first remission of leukemia and become the "father" of chemotherapy. Today, we have a vibrant culture of innovation around cancer research and care that has drawn to the Hospital the best scientists and physicians from every research focus and specialty. Children come to us with all types of cancer from all reaches of the globe. Our teams of specialists do not just eliminate the cancer, they heal the whole child, setting up lifetimes of health.
