Cannons in the NLL
Pat Heim, Kyle Sweeney and
Kevin Buchanan were all in action for the Philadelphia Wings on Saturday as the Toronto Rock came to town.
Rabil tallied one goal, two assists, and collected three loose balls.
Heim finished his night collecting one loose ball, and
Sweeney collected four.
Buchanan finished his night tallying six shots on goal and collecting four loose balls. The Toronto Rock defeated the Philadelphia Wings by a score of 13-8.
Mitch Belisle and the Minnesota Swarm were also in action this past weekend as they faced the Washington Stealth.
Belisle ended his night collecting two loose balls. Minnesota came out on top by a score of 12-5.
Philadelphia is next in action on March 29
th as they travel to Minnesota to face fellow Cannon Belisle and the Swarm. Face-off is slated for 8:30 pm.
Cannons in the NALL
This past weekend was the inaugural NALL championship game as the Boston Rockhoppers faced the Kentucky Stickhorses. Kentucky scored first, but it was all Rockhoppers as
Mike Stone quickly answered for Boston and after that, the Rockhoppers would not relinquish the lead again. Stone would score twice more in the first quarter and
Jon Hayes would add two goals of his own.
Marty Bowes added a goal himself in the second quarter and scored again later in the second half. The Boston Rockhoppers dominated until the end, winning by a score of 25-13 over Kentucky and being named the first NALL Champions. Mike Stone was named the championship MVP.
