Scott McWilliams, Defenseman (Round 1, #8) - University of Virginia



UVA fell in the first round of the NCAA tournament to Johns Hopkins 14-8 on Sunday. The #8 seeded, Cavaliers were unable to overcome an early eight-goal deficit and marks the first time they have lost in the first round since 2007. In his sixteenth game of the season, Scott has recorded 3 goals and 1 assist , with a shot percentage of .750, raising his four-year overall shot percentage to .556. McWilliams also had 28 ground balls, 4 turnovers, and 24 caused turnovers on the season.

This concludes UVA's 2014 season.

 

 

 

Rob Emery, Midfielder (Round 3, #17) - University of Virginia



#8 UVA fell short against Johns Hopkins with a first round loss 14-8. This marks only the second NCAA Tournament loss at home for the Cavaliers. Rob was 1-6 with shots on goal and picked up 2 ground balls. Click here for the full game recap. Click here for the game video recap.

In his sixteenth game of the season, Rob has recorded 14 goals and 5 assist with a .219 shot percentage and an overall four-year shot percentage of .253. Emery also recorded 20 ground balls, 54 turnovers, and 5 caused turnovers.

Austin Kaut, Goalie, (Round 3, #19)- Penn State University



Penn State University concluded their season with a win against Hofstra 8-7 on April 26.

 

 

 

Jack Reilly, Defenseman (Round 5, #33) - Johns Hopkins



In the first round of the NCAA tournament Johns Hopkins defeated UVA, 14-8. The Cavaliers took a quick 2-0 lead in the first five minutes of the contest and the Blue Jays took over with 8 unanswered goals to take the lead 8-2 in the second. One of those goals was scored by Jack for his second goal of his career. Click here for the full game recap.

In  his fifteenth game of the season, Jack has recorded 2 goals, 20 ground balls, 3 turnovers and 6 caused turnovers.

Johns Hopkins will return to action in the NCAA quarterfinals against Delaware May 18.

 

 

 

Erik Smith, Midfielder (Round 6, #37) - Air Force



Air Force was defeated by top seeded Duke in the first round of NCAA Tournament, 20-9. Erik scored an unassisted goal with three minutes left in the first quarter getting the Blue devils within 2 points of Duke. Click here for the full game recap.

In his sixteenth game of the season, Erik has recorded 24 goals, 14 assists, 58 groundballs, 12 turnovers and 5 caused turnovers.  Smith is also 76-128 for face-offs.

This concludes Air Force 2014 season.

 

 

 

Phil Poe, Faceoff Midfielder (Round 7, #51) - UMBC



UMBC concluded their season with a loss to Albany on May 3.

 

 

 

Jack Murphy, Goalie (Round 8, #59) - Fairfield



Fairfield concluded their season with a loss to Air Force on May 3.
